Safeguarding

Safeguarding and protecting children, young people and vulnerable members of our community is very important to Staffordshire YFC.  We provide activities and services for young people aged 10 to 28 years who may have additional needs for support and protection. We are committed to promoting a safe environment for children, young people and adults at risk to participate and enjoy the range YFC activities by ensuring that there are appropriate arrangements in place.

From September 2021, the federation has started to use online parental consent forms for their Competitions and Social Events, via a platform called JotForm.  To find the link to the bespoke jotform created for a particular activity, head to the calendar date on this website and scroll to the date of the event.  Note that each form has a pre-published deadline to assist with the pre-planning of the event/competition and risk assessments.  To head directly to the calendar, please click here.

Your membership form at the start of the year incorporates the parental consent and medical information as well as photo consent which necessary for your Clubs records.  This is also a consent for the PRINTED and PUBLISHED club programme at the REGULAR MEETING PLACE.

All Clubs are advised to use Permission Slips when taking members on trips, activities and visits away from their normal meeting place.  Club Safeguarding Officers – click here to download the form you need and edit with your activity details before circulating to parents/guardians.
