Stone Young Farmers 2017-2018 year has started off at full speed! The first 5 months has flown by with lots of great social nights and competition entries! We started the year with a goal to enter every young farmers competition and so far we’ve held true to our word with members new and old getting involved in all kinds of events, with many surprising themselves and being placed in competitions they perhaps wouldn’t have thought about entering, such as carcass judging.
We continue to hold our annual Christmas Cracker Ball with all proceeds going to Katherine House Hospice. This year it was held on 22nd December at Stone Hockey Club. The event was very well attended with over 300 members and non-members coming through the doors to start the Christmas celebrations off in style! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your continued support of this event and look forward to seeing you all again next year!
Our next event is our Annual Film Race Night, held on Friday 16th February at Fulford Village hall, Fulford, starting at 7:30pm! Entry is £3, which includes nibbles and cheese and crackers! Bring along your own drink for the evening!
Keep a look out for more club updates! Until then club programmes can be found in our album ‘Club Programmes’ on the Stone YFC page!
Stone YFC have elected a new top table for 2017-18. Edward Johnson & David Benbow are chairman for the year, Rebecca Roe as secretary and Phillippa Bourne as treasurer.
